O.penVAPE was among one of the newest emerging companies during the boom of legal cannabis in the United States back in 2013. For this breakthrough company, Todd Mitchem consulted to build critical infrastructure in the areas of people development, process development, public relations, sales development, and a national partnership development structure. By the end of Todd's thirteen-month contract, O.penVAPE grew by 1600%, developed expansion into nine additional states, became the largest brand in cannabis because of Todd's PR strategy and built a thriving in-market sales team. In fact, the sales leader hired by Todd Mitchem Companies to support O.penVAPE went onto become President of the brand.
Construction Technology App Company focused on Connecting, Sharing, and Payments
For the over ten million construction workers in the United States sharing information is tedious. Processing payments for work completed can also slow moving and often can be delayed by two to six weeks depending on company and worker. Todd consulted with BUILD1x to build out critical application structure, create a better flowing user experience, and build relationships for all aspects of what would become the B1x app. Todd worked to build company structure, key relationships with investors, and to guide the brand toward a more workable product offering. He also hired critical team members including the first female COO in the construction app tech space.

Gaia was a top consumer products brand in 2014 when it was hit with a lawsuit for name infringement. In settling the case, Gaia agreed to make an abrupt name change in a very constrained timeframe. Todd and his team came in to quickly rebrand the entire company from sales to forward facing public relations. To launch this new name and brand, Todd devised one of the largest industry-related job fairs "sponsored" by the new brand, Mindful. Within three months Mindful was completely rebranded then brought to customers complete with an exclusive 60 minutes story courtesy of Todd's vast PR connections. Now consumers have come to know the name Mindful as this industry's brand of awareness, and quality.
Consumer Products Pet Food Innovation Dev for 7500 Team Members and Management
For this critical and multi-year initiative, Todd partnered with the team at Eagle's Flight, a top experiential learning company, to develop developmental processes, training, assessments, and ultimately completely redesign the entire Purina culture to one of innovation. A multi-million dollar engagement, Purina achieved its culture of innovation on time and within budget. Innovation and Todd's unique brand of disruptive thinking became the norm in the US and Canada operations for this well-established brand.
